Sleep Solutions

The Process:

  1. You will get an email with a questionnaire that will take 20 minutes or longer to complete. The more detailed you are, the more I can help. If your child is still napping and is not on a regular schedule (totally normal for kids under 18 months old), I will also require a sleep diary to be completed for five days. This information will be in the initial email.

  2. I will analyze the sleep diary and questionnaire and make a detailed plan for your child. If needed, I can send a PDF file explaining in detail methods I can work with or methods we could combine to make one suitable for your family. If you do not want to sleep train, I can still analyze your child’s sleep and offer suggestions to improve sleep without sleep training involved.

  3. We will schedule a time for your coaching session if it's part of your plan. This session will last around 60 minutes, during which we will dive into your child’s personalized sleep plan. I’ll guide you on when to start implementing the plan and provide instructions for handling wake-ups. This will be a great opportunity for you to ask any questions or suggest adjustments to the plan. Once we wrap up our discussion, I'll finalize the sleep plan and send it to your email.

  4. You will begin implementing the plan. I will be available as much or as little as you need me.

The time it takes to see results from sleep training varies depending on the method you choose. For example, the cry-it-out method typically works in 3 or 4 days, while a more gentle approach can take 14 days on the light end and a month or more on the long end. There's no right or wrong way to do it, as every family may have different reasons for choosing each method. I'll assess your parenting style and create a plan based on that. If you are not using a sleep training method, it will take a varied amount of time to see results, but you should notice a difference within the first week.

We recommend that children be at least four months old before beginning sleep training. It's important to consult with your pediatrician to ensure it's the right time for your child. If your child is under four months old, consider exploring our guides, virtual postpartum services, or our newborn sleep course.

Levels of support to begin the day of implementing the plan:

Level A: Just the sleep plan. We will not have a phone coaching session instead, I will send a completed personalized sleep plan after a couple of back-and-forth emails with you. You will then be on your own to implement your plan and troubleshoot. I will give basic troubleshooting instructions in the sleep plan. You can always add assistance if you change your mind.

Level B: This level comes with a phone coaching session and one month of email support. If you have any questions, you can email me for a full month after the day you implement your plan.

Level C: This level comes with a phone coaching session and two full months of sleep support emails, plus a check-in phone call within the first week or so to see how things are going and address any new concerns. These calls typically last around 40 minutes.

In 2008, I began my first job as a nanny, and it quickly became my pride and joy. I adored the job, especially since the twins were only three months old when I started. They had a solid schedule, and I enjoyed my days with them. However, one day, when I arrived at work, their parents informed me that the twins had escaped from their cribs over the weekend and were now in toddler beds. I still remember my first nap in those toddler beds vividly. It ended in tears, but not from the toddlers - it was me who found myself in new territory.

Going into sleep training without any guidance was not enjoyable. It was a challenging experience, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Yet, many parents are in the same situation every day. It's important to teach your child good sleep habits, as otherwise, their sleep may be inconsistent, and it can start to affect your sleep patterns. I ended up using the chair method with the twins without even realizing it was a method of sleep training. It was tear-free (for us), and I got to have a power nap while I was in the chair waiting for them to sleep. It was a win-win for all. Without even knowing it, I had sleep-trained.

I am happy to help families during this difficult time and provide guidance without being pushy. I will act as your coach or guide, gathering as much information from you as possible and presenting you with options. After that, I will create a customized plan for your child and discuss it with you step by step. You can then implement the plan, and I can continue to provide support as much or as little as you prefer.

VIP Package

This is the most support you could get from me. I know many families are jam-packed and do not have time to fill out the questionnaire or the sleep diary, which is okay. I can instead call you and ask you about your child’s sleep and fill out the questionnaire myself as we go. Also, during all sleep day and night, you could text me instead, and I could fill out the sleep diary for you. I can send it to you when I am done so you have it for your records.

There are only a couple of ways to text me during the day, and this plan includes that.

There are only a couple of these spaces available per month. Learn more about it here: VIP Package.
