Hello!

My name is Amanda Hercules. I live in Seattle with my two children. I have been working with children for over 15 years now in daycares, private schools, nanny and nanny-share settings. In 2019, I received my foster care license in the state of Washington and my postpartum doula certification. I attended postpartum training at Bastyr University and began working with families in their postpartum phase. I primarily worked nights, and from working nights and through my years of work with children, I have gravitated towards sleep.

I love to sleep. I've always valued and prioritized sleeping. When I had my daughter, I had some knowledge of sleep and assumed it would be fine. I read a lot of sleep-training books. I had some experience, but everything I read was much easier said than done. While sleep training books are helpful, I had so many questions. Every child is unique, so something happening during the day may be causing them to have trouble sleeping at night, or vice versa. I'd be thrilled to support other families in achieving their own sleep goals. We can make a plan for you! I do not have a one-size-fits-all plan, as there is no magic sleeping pill, but together we can find a system that works for your home!

My daughter (the cute baby in most of the photos) wanted to add her art to the site. She is not so much a baby anymore but she still is a solid sleeper!
